Flowserve Corporation, headquartered in Irving, Texas, was formed in 1997 by merging Durco International and BW/IP, and its product lineage runs back through some of the oldest names in pumping and valve engineering. The company operates as a single integrated flow control provider with three product groups: valves, pumps and seals. Its valve brands include Valtek control valves, Worcester ball valves, Nordstrom trim and plug valves, Edward gate and globe valves for power service, and Argus and Audco lines for pipeline and refining duty. On the pumping side, Flowserve offers API 610 process pumps, nuclear-classified pumps, and large vertical and horizontal units for power generation, water and mining applications. The Limitorque electric actuator business, a century-old brand in its own right, completes the actuation picture. Flowserve's differentiator is aftermarket reach: with service centers across every continent, it supports mechanical seals, spare parts and repair for equipment regardless of original manufacturer, which is why plant operators often consolidate reliability programs around Flowserve even where mixed-brand equipment exists.
