Sulzer

Switzerland · Founded 1834 · Categories: Pumps
Official Website: www.sulzer.com ↗

Sulzer, founded in 1834 in Winterthur, Switzerland, began as a machinery builder and evolved into a focused flow control company whose pump division ranks among the strongest in oil and gas, power, water and pulp and paper. The portfolio spans the AHLSTAR process pump series for pulp and chemical service, API 610 process pumps for refineries including vertical turbine and barrel pumps, ZPP and ESF slurry and mining pumps, and the ABS and J and X ranges of submersible sewage and wastewater pumps inherited through the acquisition of Winterthur's and Cardo's pump businesses. Sulzer's differentiator is aftermarket depth: a global network of service centers rewinds motors, repairs impellers, applies engineered coatings, and provides spare parts for pumps of its own and other brands, often improving hydraulic performance in the process. The company also manufactures separation and mixing equipment through its Chemtech division. Listed on the Swiss stock exchange with manufacturing and service across every continent, Sulzer combines Swiss engineering discipline with pragmatic field experience. For critical process pumps where reliability and service response matter more than unit price, Sulzer holds a permanent place on project shortlists.
