Armaturenwerk Altenburg GmbH (AWA) develops and manufactures high-performance components for refrigeration and air conditioning systems, drawing on more than 130 years of experience from its plant in Altenburg, Germany. The portfolio comprises valves and accessories for efficient and innovative cooling systems, including solenoid valves, cast armatures, manifold valves, sight glasses, adapters, and oil level management systems, with coverage of CO2 and NH3 refrigeration circuits. The FAS brand of refrigeration valves is also manufactured in Altenburg, and market leaders in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry worldwide rely on AWA precision.

All production steps are carried out in-house using CNC machining centers, CNC turning, grinding and milling machines, brazing furnaces, a laser cutting system, and an internal electroplating workshop, supported by the latest 3D design and analysis software. Every product is tested for pressure resistance and leak tightness on modern helium leak test systems, and quality management is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 alongside DIN EN ISO 14001 environmental management.
