Aventics is the pneumatics business formed in 2014 when Bosch Rexroth's industrial pneumatics division was carved out as an independent company, and it has been part of Emerson since 2018, sitting within Emerson's automation portfolio alongside ASCO and EL-O-Matic. The brand inherited decades of German pneumatics engineering: ISO cylinders in the PRA series, cleanroom and food-grade actuators, valve systems and valve terminals, air preparation units, and notably a strong position in maritime and marine pneumatics where corrosion-resistant, class-approved components are required. Aventics differentiated itself early with smart pneumatics — sensor-integrated cylinders and diagnostic electronics that report position, cycle counts and maintenance intervals to industrial networks — anticipating the condition-monitoring expectations now spreading through process plants. For valve automation engineers, the brand matters most as a source of high-quality pilot valve and air preparation components inside pneumatic actuator packages, particularly in European-specified projects. Production sites remain in Germany and Hungary, and Emerson's global channel gives the former Rexroth pneumatics line wider reach than it enjoyed as a standalone supplier.
