OMAL S.p.A., founded in 1981 in the Brescia region of Italy and led by the Bonomi family, occupies a distinctive niche: rather than selling valves and actuators as separate products, it engineers them as matched pairs. The company manufactures stainless and carbon steel ball valves in one-piece, two-piece and three-piece executions up to ANSI 2500 ratings, butterfly valves, coaxial VIP pneumatic valves for fast-cycling duty, and the rack-and-pinion and scotch-yoke pneumatic actuators plus electric actuators that drive them. Because actuator and valve are designed together, OMAL packages achieve shorter stroke times, lower air consumption and certified cycle lives measured in the hundreds of thousands of operations, which is valuable in chemical dosing, LPG, pharmaceutical and naval applications. The VIP series in particular replaces conventional actuated ball valves with a compact coaxial design that cuts air demand dramatically. OMAL holds B-Corp certification for its social and environmental governance, maintains production entirely in the Brescia area, and has expanded with a USA corporation and an Asia-Pacific office in Thailand.
