Hikari Gokin

Hikari Gokin Co., Ltd., founded in 1947 and headquartered in Otaru, Hokkaido, is a Japanese manufacturer of valves that protect water supply systems in cold regions. Its signature products are frost-proof drain valves and hydrants which, when operated, drain water from piping to prevent freeze damage in residential and outdoor installations.

The product lineup includes low-loss anti-freeze drain valves for the Hokkaido market, drain valves and design hydrant standposts for Honshu, anti-freeze shower standposts and electric remote-control drain operation units such as the Polarris and Ma-Rimo systems. With its head office and factory in Otaru, the company operates sales offices in Sapporo, Asahikawa, Hakodate, Tomakomai, Morioka, Sendai and Matsumoto, plus branch offices in Aomori, Hachinohe and Akita, supporting cold-region water infrastructure for more than seven decades.
