SOMAS

Somas Instrument AB, founded in 1945 and based in Säffle, Sweden, develops, produces and markets control valves and on-off valves manufactured from high-grade acid-proof stainless steel. Its product families include ball segment valves, butterfly valves, ball valves and modulating control valves, all available with Somas pneumatic actuators, manual gearboxes, valve positioners, solenoid valves and limit switch accessories.

The pulp and paper industry is Somas' traditional main market, with dedicated solutions for paper machines and mills, and the company has built growing positions in chemical, power and district heating, biofuel, offshore and marine, sugar and pharmaceutical applications, including SCR, EGR and waste gate valves for marine engines and heat recovery systems. Somas is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, and supports customers with valve sizing software, diagnostic services, service packages and the SomLearning training program, exporting worldwide from its Swedish plant.
