W.H. Tildesley Ltd, established in 1874, is one of the oldest drop forging companies remaining in the United Kingdom and a closed die and impression die drop forging specialist. Following a 1.4 million pound refurbishment it operates one of the most modern drop forging facilities in the UK, producing forged components from 25 grams to 100 kg net weight, with power hammers and drop hammers from 350 kg to 6.3 tonnes and no minimum order quantity.

Extensive in-house capabilities include open die forging, machining, component design, forging simulation, die manufacture, surface finishing, heat treatment and metallography, working in aluminium, brass, bronze, carbon steel, copper and nickel alloys, silicon bronze and stainless steel. Forged products include flanges, valve bodies, bonnet forgings and tee pieces. Sectors served include aerospace, motorsport, military and fighting vehicles, pharmaceutical, heritage, nuclear, rail, oil and gas, power generation, mining, defence, naval and subsea applications.
